Wallpaper Should Be Outlawed

Mobile computing, robotic surgery, cars that park themselves. All this technology, and still no one has invented an easy way to remove wallpaper? Come on.
So after hours of (Jimmy) puncturing, spraying, steaming, pealing, and scraping, most of the wallpaper is finally gone. I did help a little, but someone had to take this picture and entertain the baby.

So let's recap this week's progress:
  • 80% that took last week's survey think the house should stay white
  • Wallpaper is gone... or is it?
  • Paneling has been pulled down in 3rd bedroom only to reveal MORE wallpaper
Next Steps:
  • Sanding, sanding, and more sanding
  • Painting, painting and more painting - Anyone up for a painting party?
Please take this week's poll. What do you think of the laminate counter top and black sink?

We Finally Closed!

So it's official! My husband and I finally bought our first house. Not just any house, but a dream house. Well... it will be one day (and hopefully within the next few months). As we prepare to renovate our wallpaper wonderland, we thought it would be fun to document our experience and share it with our friends and family through this blog. We will need all of the love, support, encouragement, and design opinions that we can get. Check out this week's poll. Should we keep the house white or change the color?

This week's renovation update:
  • Door locks changed
  • One piece of wallpaper pulled down
  • House inspected and approved by Izzie
